Old
Fiddle
This
isn't a phone call from anyone I could put a name to
but strange none the less. On February 19th last year, I was talking to
my
husband (name is Roy)
in the kitchen and was telling him of a conversation I had with a work
colleague earlier that day. To cut a long story short, she was joking
telling
me that Roy
was
nearly a geriatric. I was about to phone her that evening Roy said when
you speak to her tell her that
'Many a new tune is played on an old fiddle'. But at first he kept
mixing the
words e.g. 'Many an old tune is played on a new fiddle'. Anyway when I
tried to
phone her the line was engaged. I went back into the kitchen and the
phone
started to ring. When I answered I could hear muffled talking in the
background. I was about to hang up when this male voice said. 'Roy,
No that's not what Roy
said. What Roy
said was 'There's many a new tune played on an old fiddle.' Then the
line went
dead. How could this have possibly happened? I am still baffled.
