This was m's ur- Urqattro. It was unfortunately totaled thanks to a girl on a cell phone. A tuner has since rebuilt it at astronomical expense and it is presumably on the road or in a garage someplace.
The Audi urQ or ur=original Q=Quattro was the first definitive AWD performance car. Laughed at in the WRC by predominantly FWD and RWD competitors until it absolutely destroyed them in competition. The road going version of this legend was sold in only very small numbers in the US from 1983 to 1986 (less than 800 of them) at a then astronomical 30-40,000$.

This car was a good step towards being finished. Great body and paint. Rally holes in the hood. More gauges than you could shake an urQ at.

My introduction to M was also my first ride down a local mountain in this car. Boosting down hill was like OMG!!! I was holding on for dear life. Then it got better as we went offroad. I thought for sure we were going to die. A 20mph descending right hander -in gravel put the car into a breathtaking 4 wheel powerslide. You had to be in the car to believe it. A sweet car this was.
