Where did all this information come from?

There's really only one source of information I have found about phone calls from the dead. Shockingly, this is a book called Phone Calls from the Dead, by D. Scott Rogo and Raymond Bayless. Unfortunately, it is out of print, although it's fairly easily obtained in these modern times from online sources. You can also sometimes find it in larger libraries; that's how I first read it.

There is also a book of short stories by Wendy Brenner called Phone Calls from the Dead. My previous blurb here has been mistaken as a suggestion that people NOT read Ms. Brenner's work. However, I am exceedingly sarcastic, as should be apparent, and merely wanted people to know that there are two books of the same name, and therefore be able to get the one that they are seeking.

I personally haven't read the work, but Ms. Brenner has told me that her book was inspired by some of the sources mentioned here, such as Harper's, and that she borrowed her title from the original Phone Calls from the Dead. She states, "Since my book is -- obviously -- fiction, no one should be looking to it as a reference text. But on the other hand, it represents the interest of another person, like yourself, in this intriguing topic. Who knows -- visitors to your website who actually read fiction (or write it) might even be interested."

Also, there are various sources that have little snippets about phone calls from the dead. For example, my first contact with it was through Harper's Encyclopedia of Mystic and Paranormal Experiences. There are also lots of one-page deals on the internet about it. The catch is, all the info in these other things is from Rogo & Bayless. In the case of the webpages, most of it appears to have been cut and pasted from whichever one of them copied it out of Harper's first. I've put some in the links section anyway, just because.

There are some other books mentioned by Rogo & Bayless, but they are not solely focused on phone calls from the dead, and most of them are so old and crusty I've never bothered to hunt them down.

Since first starting this page, I have heard people say that there are some other books about phone calls from the dead. If you know of the titles of any of these, please contact and enlighten me.
